Background

As one of Indonesia’s largest and most influential retail and distribution companies in the tech sector, Erajaya handles massive volumes of data across product lines, retail outlets, customer touchpoints, and financial systems. To support agile and informed decision-making, Erajaya partnered with Naku Lab to build a data analytics framework designed specifically for its Board of Directors (BOD).


Challenge

While Erajaya had a wealth of data, it faced challenges in turning it into meaningful insights for top-level strategy. Reports were often fragmented across departments, lacked consistency, and required significant time to interpret.

The key objective was to develop a unified, real-time, and actionable analytics dashboard that could help the BOD assess performance, identify risks, and make faster, data-backed decisions.


Our Approach

  1. Data Discovery & Integration
    We began by auditing multiple data sources—including retail sales, inventory systems, financial records, and customer behavior data. These were consolidated into a centralized data warehouse using ETL processes, with validation and normalization to ensure accuracy.

  2. KPI Mapping & Executive Metrics
    Working closely with Erajaya’s leadership, we mapped key decision-making indicators, such as product performance, profit margins, regional trends, and customer segmentation. We prioritized clarity and speed over complexity.

  3. Dashboard Design & Automation
    Using Tableau and Python-based automation, we designed a suite of dynamic dashboards tailored to the needs of directors. Dashboards were optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, allowing stakeholders to access critical insights anytime, anywhere.

  4. Training & Data Culture
    We facilitated internal workshops to help key decision-makers understand the dashboards, interpret trends, and use data as a daily tool—not just for quarterly reviews.


Results

  • Enabled real-time decision-making for promotions, stock allocation, and regional strategy
